Company Selection - Apply to Present
The 13th Annual Ottawa Venture & Technology Summit is being held on September 30 - October 1, 2009. As the region's premier risk capital event, it provides an opportunity for selected companies to present directly to a large audience of local and foreign investors, strategic partners and potential customers.
This year participation is open to both early and mid-stage companies. Companies will be selected based on their appeal to investors. Applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges. Companies should satisfy the following basic requirements:
- Canadian-owned, privately held, Ottawa based
- Unique technology or business model
- Strong management
Early stage companies are those having no VC funding to date and seeking less than $2 M. Mid-stage companies should be searching for Series "A" funding or beyond. Companies will be selected based on their appeal to investors.
Companies selected to pitch at the Summit will be required to pay a nominal cost recovery registration fee of $600 (plus GST) - includes attendance for two company representatives to the Investor Reception on September 29th, and the Summit conference and Keynote Luncheon on September 30th and October 1st.
