Gregory D. (Greg) Pelton is Senior Director of the Technology Center for Cisco Systems, Inc. Based at Cisco's campus in Research Triangle Park , NC , Mr. Pelton oversees a team of 100 employees worldwide. The Cisco Technology Center is a corporate level R&D organization chartered to identify emerging markets and technologies and incubate these into new revenue streams for Cisco. With a combination of business development and engineering staff, his team has an excellent track record of leading Cisco into new businesses including IP Telephony, Wireless, Mobile Routing and Home Networking. In addition to this incubation role, Mr. Pelton works with strategic partners to build joint solutions, establishes industry consortia to standardize emerging technologies and partners with start-ups and research organizations.
